This picture is a relationship of color planes in a wonderful art installation by Cildo Meireles titled "Pling Pling" The installation consists of 6 connected rooms of solid colors with a video screen in each one that slowly changes colors. A magnificent example of deDtijl and it helps express my thoughts on the theory that everything is defined by the elements around it.
This particular image is actually a double exposure. One vertical and one horizontal with the light trails of a person walking through the room.
LEFT: On 7/28/09 on the grid of squares on the ground just outside the Office National des Pensions at the intersection of Rue des Marcottes and Rue de Nimy in Mons, Belgium.
